Where He was about to go...

So I am at Sounds of Liberty Training Camp this week, and we've been spending some time in the Word together. It's been encouraging, and really such a great time to grow together. Our team leader, Jordan Grizzard, did devotions with us yesterday, and brought Luke 10:1-2 to our attention:

After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of him, two by two (or "in teams"), into every town and place where he himself was about to go. And he said to them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.

So, just think about it. The Lord appointed these "teams" if you will, to go out and prepare the people for what they were ABOUT to experience. HOW COOL?! He was about to go there, but He wanted to use someone else to make their hearts ready. Some people just aren't ready for the Gospel, or to meet a real, living, vibrant Jesus, so He appoints, and anoints someone to get the people ready.

Don't get discouraged if you can't see the fruits of your labor. You never know what God may be doing to prepare you and the people you come in contact with to meet Jesus!
